Ethan Kipseba Koima
Full-stack web platforms and human-centered design, built as final-year and side projects.
About
I'm a Computer Science student in the School of Computing and Engineering Sciences at Strathmore University, part of ICS 3 Group F. My work spans full-stack web development, database systems, and human-computer interaction, with a growing interest in building products end to end — from system design and data modeling to interface design and deployment.
Outside coursework, I'm building an early-stage project called Norme and preparing a Y Combinator application for it.
Projects
BloodLink Kenya
Final-Year ProjectA web platform for coordinating blood donation logistics across four user roles — Blood Donor, Hospital Administrator, Ambulance Operator, and System Administrator — spanning four core modules. Co-developed with a project partner and supervised by Dr. Stephen Obonyo. Delivered full OOAD documentation (use case, class, sequence, activity, and ERD diagrams), a system architecture design, and over 50 module test cases.
SafeSpace
HCI Team ProjectA dual-channel incident-reporting concept — mobile app and USSD — designed for use in Kibera, so that reporting doesn't depend on smartphone access. Extended a greyscale mid-fidelity design into a high-fidelity Figma prototype with a closed-loop reporting flow, built collaboratively using Figma's plugin tooling.
Norme
Independent / In ProgressAn early-stage project I'm building independently, currently the basis of a Y Combinator application. More details coming soon as the product takes shape.

Independent Contractor
Turn raw notes and data into polished, stakeholder-ready reports and decks for clients on request.
Final-Year Informatics Project
Co-Developer — BloodLink Kenya
Own end-to-end delivery on a supervised final-year platform: requirements, OOAD design, implementation, testing, and documentation, working alongside a project partner and reporting to a faculty supervisor.
